In this post, Kevin Cheng, our head of Communications, writes about the latest edition of the Constellation Research Shortlist for Sales Productivity solutions, which Tact.ai was featured in.

One of our favorite analogies (and what has become a favorite topic with customers) is the Flintstones and Jetsons comparison. For salespeople, their consumer technologies — from iPhone and WhatsApp, to the Alexa and Lyft — have eliminated friction from their personal lives. In the workplace, however, they’re still facing tremendous friction from both the work apps they need to use and the people they need to corral to get deals done.

In fact, many sales organizations have invested in digital transformation initiatives over the past several years, integrating the newest technologies to enable more productive workforces. Dell’s famed study on the future of work from a couple of years ago predicted this trend, identifying that more than 50% of employees surveyed expect to be working in a smart office within the next five years. This number jumps dramatically among younger workforce to 69%.
